Random Update

Well we are STILL waiting to hear back on the townhouse. We put another offer on a house that wasnt a short sale and they counter offered but we decided it was at the top of our budget and we didnt want to stretch ourselves too far. I am growing more impatient and frustrated everyday. We were kind of hoping to be in a place before Brian and Beckys wedding just so we could have more room to house everyone. There is another townhouse in the same complex that is listed for about $15 thousand more that is NOT a short sale. So we decided if we dont hear anything back by Sept. 20th we would make an offer on that one and hopefully could get it a little cheaper. While it costs more it would come with the appliances and blinds, which the other does not. I really dont know how much longer I can wait, its been 4 weeks now and all I think about it moving and decorating, I even went and picked out some paint colors! Mostly steele blues and grays. I already know what I want to do in every room and HGTV is always on in our house. I am even looking forward to packing and moving, I just want a house!

In other news, last weekend Becky had one of her bridal showers up at her Aunts house in Salt Lake. Brian is so lucky to marry into such a great family, I just loved all her aunts and grandmas and cousins. They were all so nice and welcoming. Here are some pictures from the lovely shower

They had a little luncheon with fruit, chicken finger sandwhiches, ice cream, and pastries

To all of you wondering...

I have had alot of family and friends asking if we have heard anything on our offer on the townhouse. We have not. It is a short sale so it goes directly through the bank and they are in no hurry to sell it, even if they get an offer for what they want, it still takes 30-60 days to hear anything. I know you would think they wouldnt want to sit on houses while every month they lose money on it. But thats just how it works. It is frustrating but we are being patient. We have looked at a few other places and are putting another offer in on a short sale single family home. The house is way under priced and I think they are just trying to get attention on it, but we figure we dont have anything to lose. I wish the process was faster but most of the houses out there right now are short sales because of the adjustable rate loans and people lost there houses because they couldnt afford them when their rates when up. We are very excited to get into a house in the near future, and trust me, we will let you know as soon as we do!

(Town) House Update

Here are some pictures of the townhouse we put an offer on. The house definilty needs some redecorating but everything else is in really good shape. The master bedroom is huge and it has a master bathroom attached. We still have not heard anything back from the bank yet and I am trying not to get my hopes up but I am having a hard time not to. We are going to look at some more single family homes tomorrow morning just to keep our options open. With this townhouse it does have an HOA fee so with the money we would spend on that every month we could get single family home for a little more money without an HOA. Hope you enjoy the pictures and please ignore the decorating. Anyone who knows me know I can have this place looking a lot better in no time. Ha

The Master Bedroom
The Kitchen (it has horrible wallpaper!) but a good size and open dining area

The living room

The Masterbath (which is exactly the same as the other upstairs bathroom)

The basement is unfinished(this is only one half of it) but we plan to make still a liveable space with curtains or fabric on the wall and carpet on the floor so we can use it for my consultation room for weddings or just an extra hang out space

Last weekend Tysons sister, Kortni, got married in Pocatello Idaho. Most of Tysons family is from there so we got to see everyone and of course go to the wedding. I did the flowers for Kortni and they were so awesome. Kortni had great ideas and great style. The centerpeices and her bouquet were probably some of my favorite pieces I have ever done! They were so unique. Since I was a bridesmaid I didnt get to carry my camera around and take lots of pictures so I will post more when I get some back from her photographer. The other picture is of Tyson about to catch the football at the pool in Lava Hot Springs (about 30 minutes from Pocatello) that we went to. They just built two new slides and its a really fun pool, not quite a water park, but just as fun and the lines are so short!

Big News!

Tyson and I have been working with a Realtor for the past month or so and have found a townhouse that we love and we put an offer in on our first house! Its a short sale so we wont find out for a few weeks if the bank will accept our offer. Kind of funny, Tysons friend Casey owns the townhouse RIGHT next door, and Tyson lived there for about 3 years when we were dating. Casey is now married, to my old roommate when I first moved to utah when I was 18. The House has 2 floors and an unfinished basement. It has 3 Bedrooms and 2 1/2 Baths. If we finished the basement it would add another 2 rooms and bathroom! So there is plenty of room to grow...if you catch my drift ;) We'll keep you posted if all goes well! We are so excited to have our own place. This picture is not the exact unit, but they are all pretty much the same so you get the idea!
