Winter Wonderland

For Christmas this year Tyson and I went to my parents house in Oregon. We were orginally going to leave Monday night and drive through the night to get there on Tuesday morning. When we heard there were going to be several bad snow storms we thought it might be wise to leave early. So we left Sunday morning early and made great time up until Boise. We saw about 9 cars flipped over on the side of the road, one of the accidents we even pulled over and helped the guy get out of his car before the paramedics got there. It was pretty scary! After Boise the snow and weather was so bad we had to go about 35-40 miles the rest of the way. We drove for about 13 hours and then had to stop at my aunt and uncles house in Bend, Oregon (about 3 hours away from my parents house) to spend the night and drove the rest of the way the next morning. Total it took us about 17 hours (with normal road it takes about 12). Oregon has had the worst snow storm its seen in about 40 years. Although its gorgeous through the mountains, its not really that fun to drive in. And I am such a nervous passenger in the snow. I told Tyson to slow down the whole time, I couldnt even watch, he would just tell me to sit in the back and lay down and dont watch. HA. All I can say is I am SOO glad Iam not driving back. My poor husband has to go back earlier for work so I will flying and he will be driving.

Thought you should know...

This is a wedding I did the weekend before Christmas. I started working with this couple back in about April and from the time we started to what the actual centerpieces and bouquets looked like were nothing the same! I learned some valuable lessons and it was the largest wedding I have done yet! I mostly wanted to post these pictures to congratulate myself on being finished and to let you know just how much works goes into wedding flowers. At the time I didnt know how I would get all of it done or store it all. (See fridge picture) but I did! It was a great learning experience for me...Congratulations "Ow and Ko" Wedding.

She's a Hammond

Okay so sorry these pictures are so small, all the small ones are from someone elses cameras. Apparently I was too busy doing all the decorating and everything else to take pictures. I really should have taken more pictures on my camera though. Oh and if you were wondering, yes i did the bouquets and centerpieces!

Old Lady Lingerie

I dont know how to flip it around!

Crazy Lady!

Here is the Final Outfit, we had her hold the cat for extra affect.

Last weekend I went home for one of my Best Friends weddings, Amber. My flight came in on thursday, the night she was having her bridal shower. At first I thought my flight came in after and i was going to miss it and the day before i left i checked my flight information and realized i was going to make it to the shower after all! I am so glad i did. My mom came up with a great alternative to the gum/question game since its a little overdone. Instead of gum we had every guest bring a crazy or unusual item of clothing and every question she got wrong she had to layer on top of each other. The pictures done even do it justice, it was funnier than i would have ever thought and i would recommend it for every party ha! At the very end she picked a bag that had old lady lingerie and it was HUGE. She pulled it up on over leotards, oldman jumpsuits, fred flinstone costume, poodle skirt, goggles, santa hat, scuba gear, and everything else she was wearing. She was such a good sport about it too! I'll post the video of her actually putting it on. Best game I have ever played at a bridal shower!

Girls night out

Okay so this is a little out of order but I still wanted to post it. Thanksgiving seems likes forever ago already but on Thanksgiving night the outlet malls in Park City opened and Midnight and they were having awesome sales so the Wakley girls went on a little adventure. We only planned to be there a few hours and before we knew it it was like 3 AM! Alot of stores had stuff at 50% and we only made it into like 4 stores in 3 hours because there were so many people. I didnt think people were as crazy as us to go but apparently I was wrong. Oh and on the way back we got a little snow surprise too. I would post pictures from Thanksgiving but this is all I got.

Familyness = Happyness

This last week my family came out for a quick trip to drop Dan off at the MTC. Posting these pictures kind of makes me sad cause I miss him already! We were lucky to have the fabulous Leah Wright take our pictures. I admire her work so much. It was SO cold that day that we took pictures! It was so nice to see my family and even better...I get to back to Oregon this weekend and see them again!

HGTV!!!!

Pretty much all I did today was watch HGTV, I always knew we had that channel but I never took the time to watch it. I have always loved interior decorating and I thought my house was cute until after I watched makeovers all day. Seeing everything they do though and their tips just makes me want to go out and re-decorate my house! Oh my husband will LOVE that...Actually it just makes me wish I had a house to decorate and paint! Until then I'll just store all my ideas. For those of you who have homes I hope this inspires you too

Happy Birthday Babe!

I think this is the best picture I have been able to capture of Tyson since we have been married! It was pure luck so dont expect it again anytime soon
This one not so much luck...I have been really lazy about blogging because really after sitting all day at a computer at work i dont really feel like coming home and plopping down in front of the computer again...But Tysons birthday was Mon. the 17th and here are a few pictures from the fairly uneventful day :( I was sick on his birthday and didnt even make him a birthday dinner, I felt like a horrible wife, and he also was at school late and had a basketball game, so to him it was just another day so I wanted to share a few reasons of why everyday with him is so special to me and why I love him. #1 I love that he gives me a hug and a kiss every morning before he leaves to work. #2 I love that he can always make me smile, even when i am raging mad at him. #3 I love how he is literally a human furnace and always lets me stick my freezing cold feet on him #4 I love that he always takes the garbage out to the curb, always! #5 I love how everytime we leave a hotel room, airplane, or anywhere that we are not at home he asks me atleast 50 times to make sure I got everything #6 I love when he shouts things from the other room in anger and excitment when watching sports even when nobody is around #7 I love how his sisters adore him (even though they may not admit it, i know they do) #8 I love how he wears his slippers and sweats anytime after 5 PM. #9 I love when he calls me sweetie. #10 I love how he can fit into his 3 little sisters AND his wifes clothes! And one of these days babe I am going to give you the best birthday surprise ever and fly you to Hawaii.....one day! I love you babe, Happy Birthday!

I hear Wedding Bells....

Logan Bridal Shower

Ah Yes the Famous "How many random facts do you know about your fiance and how much disgusting gum can we make you chew" game. Amber got off easy because nobody brought the real gum. She only had to use what we could scrounge in the house and got off WAY too easy! Plus in my opinion, the questions were not random enough! Dont worry you still have one more shower....

Just having a good 'ol time

NEW CAR!!!

YAY! FINALLY! I had been trying to sell my car for months! And Finally I sold it last tuesday and got to buy a new car! For any of those who know my family, we have never had nice cars to say the least. Either they have dents, different colors and parts from other cars, gages that dont work, oil leaks, motors that squeal, doors that dont open...the list goes on. This is the first nice car I have ever driven that was mine! It has all the bells and whistles. Not to say that I am not grateful for always having a car when i lived with my parents, its just nice to have a nice one!

Ya for Amber!

This Weekend I went to Logan with Amber to Help her with her Bridal Pics. I made a bouquet and boutinere (I should really learn how to spell that) for them and her dress was so pretty. I never did my Bridals....And I really regret it. It looked like alot of fun and they are going to have some great pictures. If you are wondering why i have the photographer and reflecter girl in the picture, i did it on purpose. Capturing the moment.

Betcha wish you came to our house...

Since Tyson and I live in a basement apartment, we figured we wouldnt get very many trick or treaters, but we told a few kids in our ward if they came by we would give out King Size Candy Bars. Well I went to the store earlier during the day and picked up about 10 candy bars. I thought that would be enough but then we got a whole bunch of kids right in a row so Tyson ran to Wal-Mart to get more. It was so fun giving out the candy to the kids, there eyes just lit up when they saw the King Size.Well of course after that nobody else came! So we got stuck with about $15 dollars worth of Candy Bars! That is not good for Jaclyn...I love candy way to much to stay away from all that goodness.

Chocolate-Chip-Mint!

A few weeks ago I took our cute little neighbor girl Brooke to "Color me Mine." I had never been before and it was so much fun! I wish I had some picture of us doing it together but my camera was lost then so you just get to see the after product. She did a little gravy pitcher and did opposite colors. They were so cute together as a pair I almost didnt want to give her her project. If anyone ever wants to go to "Color me Mine" with me..I am game. It was so fun!

It sucks when your husband is skinnier than you!

Okay well I finally found my Camera so its back to blogging!! yaya!!! I missed so much. Thanksfully Josie sent me this picture but there were so many more great moments to catch than jus this picture. A few weekends ago we went to Pinedale to watch Kiesha play volleyball at Regionals. I challenged Tyson to see if he could fit in my pants (dont ask me how we got there, but somehow we did) Oh Tyson fit in my pants no problem. These are his sisters Josie's pants who is like a size 24. Yep he got them on and zipped. We decided to take him to show all the girls on the volleyball team just how cute he was (ha, it wasnt really that cute, just funny!) As you can see its a little harder to suck in the gut when your pants are tight..haha oh and thats my shirt as well. He is so skinny it makes me sick, but he always makes us laugh. He will probably be mad that i put this picture out there for the world to see. But I had to share it. I will post some other ones if people ever send them to me!

Thats life....with kids...

Sadie (the dog) and CyrusAJ.......
And Ella......(Twins)
This last weekend I was going to have a slumber party with the Madison kids. I nannied for the Madisons about a year ago and it was their anniversary so they were going to take a weekend away and I got the stay with the litle ones! I was going to go stay thursday night through sunday. Well Amy called me and told me not to come until friday morning instead of thursday night. Then it turned into friday afternoon instead of morning, after their crazy morning with a dryer blowing out all the pilots in the house and leaving them with no hot water. So I came and took the kids to the park while John and Amy got their things together friday afternoon to head out. When we got back from the park, I thought I had given them enough time to get on the road. It was now about 4 PM and they were just leaving. Well finally when they left they got a call from Mya (who was having a sleepover of her own with her cousin that night) that she had a fever and an earake. They turned around and came back to take her to the doctors and were planning on just taking her with them on their getaway. Well about 2 hours later they came back and gave up on it all together. Well I guess this should be a lesson learned for me that when you have kids, you just dont get to do what you want to do anymore. But atleast I got to spend a day with my favorite little boys and girls! Sadly I didnt not get a picture of Mya...

Cute Face Kiesha
Kortni and her Soon to be Fiance....ooh la la
Tyson knows that when I take pictures I am going to blog them, so he makes retarted faces and wont look at the camera just because he knows how mad it makes me! Cant a girl ask for a few pictures every now and then. You can tell he is about to smile cause he knows how much he was annoying me! Oh and thats his hand on his chest, not mine in case you were wondering.

You could say I am pretty domestic

I cant tell you how many GREAT things I have found at Ikea in the "as is" section. They have a small section by the checkout where returns and "damaged" things are taken. These pictures are usually $80 bucks and I got it for $19. (pretty much every piece of furniture in my house i got at abou 75% off) They frame on the back was broken and so the canvas looked a little warped, nothing a little nail and hammer couldnt fix. Actually it was quite the project but so worth it. I had to go to home depot and find some cheap wood and built this new frame for the picture to stretch over. I had to measure, hold the wood and nail at the same time. It only took me 2 trips to Home Depot to get the measurements right, but hey look at the final product!! Just call me Martha Stewart! :)

what do you think ma?

When my mom came a few weeks ago I took her to one of my favorite wholesale places and I picked out some stuff to make her some arrangments for her house. Well they are finally done, now I just have to find a way to ship them too you. I need a really big box!! P.S. what do you think mom?
